Photography and terrorism (an old argument)

Reading an article this morning (even if it was from 2008) made me think about public photography. I’ve never been hassled or stopped from taking pictures, anywhere. Maybe it’s down to the fact that it’s difficult to imagine a 5 foot 1 girl wearing a Hello Kitty t-shirt as a terrorist. Or maybe it’s the fact that terrorists don’t often use 20 year old film cameras. At least not in the films.

I don’t know how I’d react if I did get stopped. Probably make a bit of a fuss then move on, but I’m sure as hell not deleting photos, as some reports of security guard bothering have suggested. Film’s expensive, dammit, I’m not handing it over.

What do you all think? Have any of you been stopped from taking photos in public?
