Happy new year! And what a year it’s been. Photography-wise, I was more active at the start and much less at the end of the year – I can blame that on working two jobs at the same time. However now, I’ve ditched the secure, regularly-paying job and thrown my all into my own business (wish me luck).
This does mean, hoever, that I’m free to work unconventional hours, and free to explore outside of those hours. One of my goals for 2012 (apart from making enough to keep a roof over my head and my cameras in film) is to use that extra time to explore, to take more photos. I will have the opportunity to get up before dawn, go out to take pictures, or stay up late and try my hand at star trails or light painting!
I’d also like to have a go at medium-format photography, perhaps in the 6×6 format. I have my eye on the Bronica SQ-A, although at between £200-300 for a body with lens, back, viewfinder etc, it might be out of my price range. We shall see though, it would be a new learning curve to explore 🙂
What are your new year’s resolutions, photography-wise?
